We should host the Olympics in the same place every time?

The Rio Olympics were only a year ago, but the venues look like they've been deserted for decades - Business Insider

Officials in Rio de Janeiro hoped hosting the 2016 Olympics
would help make it a first-class city.
Instead, many buildings and Stadiums made for the games
have gone unused since the event ended.

One year after the Rio Olympics took place ...
... The grounds now look apocalyptic
Since the games, only half of the facilities have been used ?!
The aquatics stadium is drained and in disrepair
Dirty puddles make up the only water in the pool
Guanabara Bay is still filled with trash
Rio organizers promised to clean it, in their 2009 Olympic bid
Last year, major efforts to remove the trash stopped
This giant public park was built during the games ...
... But it's now closed
Several other stadiums sit empty and unused
There were supposed to be converted into public spaces
The Maracanã soccer stadium had its power shut off ...
... After running up a 950.000 Dollars electric bill
31 towers in the Athletes' village are mostly abandoned
They were supposed to be converted into luxury condos
Even some of the medals have begun to rust and chip
The Rio government faced protests during their Olympic bid
Protesters said spending money on the games was a waste
Perhaps, they were Right ?!
