We should host the Olympics in the same place every time?

Rio 2016: Gone and forgotten - sntv.com

Six months after Rio de Janeiro hosted the first-ever Olympics in South America, questions are being asked about the Legacy organizers said would benefit the city's residents, as venues languish in a state of disrepair.

Rio de Janeiro pulled off last year's Olympics keeping crime at bay,
and fending off dire forecasts linked to Corruption,
Environmental degradation and Budget cuts,
as Brazil plunged into its deepest recession in memory.
But, it came at a price?!
Rio organizers still owe Creditors up to 40 million dollars.
The Olympic Park is a cutting-edge ghost town,
sleek sports arenas deserted,
before they were even broken in.
To temporary venues for swimming
& handball have yet to be dismantled,
exteriors of arenas just left to fall apart?!
The warmer pool which was covered,
during the games, is filled with stagnant water.

This in a city with endless sand and beaches. Some of them iconic for their sport, such as Copacabana.
Away from the park, the famous American / Our Stadium /
has drawn the most Attention ?!
It was renovated for the 2014 World Cup,
at a cost of about 500 million dollars.
It was largely abandoned after the Olympics and Paralympics,
and then hit by vandals who ripped out thousands of seats !!
3 Politicians who were instrumental
in landing & organizing the Olympics,
Former Brazilian President Luiz inácio Lula da Silva,
Former Rio Governor Sergio Cabral,
& Former Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes,
have been under investigation?!
Cabral, an early promoter of the Olympics & World Cup,
has been jailed on Corruption charges.

The games end to a lesser extent,
the World Cup two years earlier,
showcased the reality of Rio,
a city romanticized for its sprawling beaches,
annual carnival celebration & sensual lifestyle.
It exposed the city's extensive Crime,
Environmental degradation & Corruption.

Why Hosting The Olympics Isn't Worth It Anymore ? - TheRichest

Why Hosting The Olympics Isn't Worth It Anymore ? 10 reasons why no one wants to host the Olympic games anymore. T hey’re the pride of hundreds of countries, and the joy of billions of viewers. The Olympics are the best athletic events in international competition , and even the most indifferent sports-viewer is compelled to pay attention - at least a little. Even if one refuses to watch,  they would be reluctant to besmirch the Olympics on purely diplomatic grounds. Because hating the Olympics is hating positive global relations , for which the world is desperate. Often the only reconciliation between feuding countries happens at the Olympics, so who would want to criticize such a positive  institution  of friendly competition? We will.
